Re: IML: southampton/crown 1960

I believe "Southampton" refers to the 4-dr. hardtop for all Imperial series. The series ran Custom, Crown and LeBaron.

Subject: IML: 1955 Crushed roof photos
Date: Thu, 22 Dec 2005 09:39:09 -0800 (PST)

For those that are following the thread on bending out the roof on the

1955, here are the photos. Please keep in mind that there is a
structural
member under the lip where the crease is, and I can't get in there
without
cutting things up, so PLEASE, nobody write in and ask why I haven't
bent
it out yet. Also, when I force the furrow up, the metal has been so
badly
stretched that doing so just causes the rear of the roof that's still
painted to cave in, so I'm planning to work with exactly what you see
there:

WARNING: These files are GIANT and uncompressed. They will eat a
slow
internet connection alive. You have been warned.
