Re: IML: Revival of the Imperial nameplate

Awe, c'mon guys! Think outside the box.

An Imperial SUV would be stunning! Remember the thread a while back about
how much stuff you can, um...stuff, into an Imperial? In a SUV, you could
haul around more stuff! (not the chicken roaster, though). Think of the
luxury. Sitting high on the road, looking down (literally) at the itsy-bitsy
cars. Oh! and the sound system would be awesome with surround-sound. And the
gizmos....lots o' gizmos. When the Cadillac and Mercedes SUV's came out, I
was skeptical, but now I see a certain beauty and grace in them.

When this thread started, I ran to my hubbie and said "I want one!".

Okay, I admit it, my daily driver is a '95 Blazer and my hubbie's is a '97
Ram P/U. It's been a long time since I drove a car and I've gotten used to
sitting up higher on the road (drives me nuts when I'm a passenger in my
girlfriend's '05 'Stang).

Do we really need such a plethora of SUVs and their derivations? And
please, OH GOD, PLEASE, not an Imperial SUV!

Amen to that. After waiting this long, I certainly hope DC doesn't go down
that road. With gas prices ready to climb again, Intrducing an Imperial SUV
would be doomed to failure right from the start.
