I totally agree. I rebuilt mine about threes years ago and it was easier then I thought. I had never done one before so I had a buddy help me with it and it took all of about an hour.
Wow $225.00 for a rebuild!!?? For about $20.00 you can buy the kit and do it yourself or find someone with some experience to help you along. It is not hard. The AVS is a simple and very good carb.
