IML: 65 Crown Speakers: 4 OHM Compatible with 8 OHM Radio???

Chris,
Have your speaker(s) re-coned then you know for sure they match.
Many radio repair shops do this work & it is very inexpensive but best of 
all it is your speaker & it will work with you system.
I send mine to a repairman in Newberg, Or, & turnaround is about 3 weeks & 
the last speaker was the front speaker from my 56 Imperial (7" I think), 
cost for the re-cone was $19.00 plus return shipping.
