maybe the master cylinder is wrong, and has a larger bore. changing bore size is kinda like gear ratio's the bigger the masters bore the less travel the pedal will have and will feel more firm. small bores masters have more feel, more pedal travel, and take less foot pressure to produce the same line pressure.
