I exchange all my headlamp
bulbs with halogen as they burn out. Haven't had any problems with current
capacity or heat build up. Another thing that may help is to bypass all that old
wire from the switch to the lamps by installing a relay at (or near) the bulbs
directly to 12+, and use the switched wire to activate the relay. Just my 2
cents.

I have no real problem with
it but my wife can't stand it. I would like to convert my head light into a
brighter type such as halogen. I can't find a source. I don't want to start a
thing like the brakes . I try to drive my car as much as possible. To keep it
in good shape I think all the updates should be considered. If anyone knows of
