Re: IML: Windshield installation

I am not a professional, just my two cents worth.
No metal tools. A sturdy plastic knife [or two] in case you need to work the rubber.[ professionals use a special tough plastic tool similar to a knife] Spray bottle of soap to lube the gasket. A good nylon twine. Put the gasket on the windshield and start the bottom first.

It worked for me.

Subject: IML: Windshield installation

Will be installing a windshield this weekend in Bakersfield. Anyone have any tips or how to do this for first timmer? I have read my manual several times but like to hear from some one who has done it themselves. It is the 56 Hardtop I will be doing.

Thanks
