Yes.  That is my master cylinder.  That braid is not a braided line.  It is 
simply some kind of cover over a flexible line, probably for abraision 
resistance.  Yes, it is OEM.  I don't recall seeing it available 
after-market.

Brad,

Is that your old master cylinder?  I'm wondering about those hoses. They
appear to have a braided
covering over them.  Was this factory? Was it there for abrasion resistance?
  I'm wondering if many newer cars have this stuff.  After having  a cut
heater hose cost me an engine, I'm open for all improvements.
