I can tell you from personal experience
that the conversion from drums to discs in the front was well worth it. My 69 Satellite had drums which were
constantly fading, especially while driving in the mountains. Many people
said I would have to find an old Charger or GTX that came with discs to get the
right parts. Well I didn’t necessarily believe that so I carefully
measured spindles, upper A frames and lower control arms. Then I headed
off to my favorite wrecking yards with tape measure in hand. As it turns
out I found an exact fit from a 78 LeBaron that matched all my
measurements. I took spindles, calipers (floating single piston Kelsy
Hayes), rotors, splash guards and proportioning valve. After installing
everything the new stopping power was very impressive. To quote a gentleman

Behalf Of Lib596@xxxxxxx I have just had a talk with Roger at AAJ
Brakes about his Imperial kit. Apparently, the present kit uses a
standard Imperial bolt pattern and not the 4 1/2" Chrysler pattern. Roger
assured me the regular road wheels will fit. In addition the rotors are 12"
vented units although the calipers are GM parts. I also called a guy I know in the On the face of it I think it is worth the
risk and I will probably order the kit. I will keep you guys informed of my
progress and the results. Many thanks to everyone who offered
opinions and advice. Best wishes, Tony V |
