RE: IML: Dirty Oil in my 440

Try GM (agh) crankcase cleaner. I used it on my HEMI! , before use the oil stunk and was forever dirty, after use the oil is fresh and clean after running her.

Use 2 cans and follow the instructions. I had huge lumps of crud flowing out of the oil drain and ran a wire hook up into the pan through the drain hole to scrape out the last few bits. I then installed new oil and filter, ran it few a couple of hours and changed it all again. Now it’s perfect.

Subject: IML: Dirty Oil in my 440

Is there a reliable and safe way I can clean out my 440?  I have been changing my oil every 1000 (or less) miles but I still have dirty oil on my dip stick.  Is this normal, or is there a solution out there?
