IML: 1955, need brake pedal return spring

First time out with my 1955 my brake pedal would not return.  Checking under the dash I could feel that some type of coil spring should be there but is missing.  The normal part sources here could not help me.  Anyone with any input on a source or a substitute spring that I might be able to use....thanks
