Re: IML: 1990 Imperial? Master Cylinder

It takes about five to ten minutes a side to change brake pads, it's one of
the easiest things to do on your car. If you've never done it, try it,
you'll kick yourself for ever paying anyone else to do it. It sounds like
this guy is stringing you along. I'm sure there's nothing wrong with
aftermarket pads. I personally will never deal with a dealer unless I am
forced to. Find a good private mechanic.

I just got a call from the Chrysler Garage. They told me the pump was fine.
They do not know what is wrong. They said the had problems with after
market brake pads on the front and that they could put on Mopar brake pads
on the front to start and see if it helps. Now get this $75.00 for parts
and $225.00 for labor for a total of $300.00 to put on brake pads on the
front. How long does it take to put on brake pads?

He told me the car had been recalled once and that the pump assembly was
replaced. That they would fix it but not replace it.
