Re: IML: Please Welcome Randy Shustack

Hi, I first would like to thank everyone who welcomed me into the club and am eager to learn more about the different kind on Imperials. This sedan was recently listed on e-bay about two months ago and was located in Mount Joy, PA. Here is the link to the auction: (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4529247832&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT) Hopefully you will able to view it. The auction ended with the reserve not being met and I contacted the seller and eventually worked out a price. He originally wanted $4000 and we settled on $3000. This is the first Imperial I ever owned and am excited. So far the only problems I have found are the power window on the front passenger side door does not work; it has a leak at the power steering pump; and it definitely needs new brake pads ( the rotors are decent however I will need to start searching for a set); brake lines need to be replaced; and the power antenna is missing. I have found a set of brake pads in New Jersey ($80 for the set) after much searching. Local auto stores said they have them in stock however they are D 85 pads and not the D10's. I was able to get the brake lines however I cannot find rotors or calipers. Any suggestions? As for the body it is in good shape however it seems to have been repainted at some point. The interior is in very good shape with the exception of a small tear in the front seat. I should have the brakes on sometime next and will take it for its first true test run. Once again thanks for the welcome replies!
Randy

Hi Randy, is this Sedan the car recently for sale on Ebay? There was a blue 67
Sedan on ebay close to the DC area as I recall. It must be it, since there are
not too many Sedans left, they only made about 2K in 67.

I have a 68 Sedan, very similar to yours. I also have a 68 Lebaron. All these
cars share the same brakes. There is a lack of availability in brake parts for
our cars, but we know where to cut shortcuts. We will help you find the parts,
afteer you tell us what you need...
