RE: IML: Exhaust preferences

I'm thinking of putting dual exhausts on my 73. I'm not looking to gain
horsepower but I just love the hum of it. Anyone have any thoughts or
pro and cons on this?

I had Flow Masters put on my '73, but was a little too loud inside the
car.
I went back to the exhaust dealer (Mufflex), and had them put resonators
on behind the mufflers. The car has a nice tone, and plenty of power.
Feels like it has 50 more horsepower!

When I get exhausts done on an Imperial, I like the least restrictive
system I can get without sacrificing much (if any) quietness. I don't
mind if you can hear the exhaust note a little when you get into the
throttle, but under normal operation silence is key - I generally like
to hear the engine and air intake sound more than the exhaust sound. I
also go with dual exhausts if at all possible.
