So, Kate, what's your opinion, then about including the cost of tools in the cost of restoration?

I believe that tools are a long term investment, and should not be tied to a specific job, unless they are such a specialty tool that they are only useful for that one particular operation. (I believe the IRS thinks the same, BTW :>)))

but if it will keep you out of hot water, whatever! Beware that this could backfire on you, though if you have one of those tool-hating or restoration hating wives (a lower life form, in my estimation).

I do have a tool I fabricated for one use only - and hope I never have to do THAT again.  Carb adjustment on '81 Dodge PU with slant 6.......and that #$@$@%!! computer in the air cleaner........
