RE: IML: Valve/Head Cover Gasket question



    depending on what size the bolt is, the could be correct.  I believe most valve cover bolts are 1/4 20, I prefer to torque in Inch lbs on small hardware like that.  1/4 20 hardware should be torqued to 120 inlbs. or if you use ftlbs 7 -9 is about right!

Thank you sir.  Nine foot pounds of torque sure isn't much.   
It's almost as if that is too loose.
