These cars (fusekage) have relatively lower value compared to the earlier cars. The money you dump to fix mechanical or body problems will never be recovered by selling the better condition car. However, this may not be the right way of thinking about the issue. The way I would think to make this decision would be how much would I have to spend to replace this car with something that rides or perfroms or protects its passengers similar to an Imperial. Even though the gas bill will be high, I think you will still be ahead fixing the car. Plus, you will know that the money you spent helped preserve a rare car.
