I took a drive up to one of the places where Forward Look cars go to die and donate their parts for the others still on the road. Here are some pictures from my May, 2009 visit.

This '60 Desoto is for sale as a complete project car. It is an excellent starting point.

Looking for a '59 Pontiac? John has this four door hardtop and a wagon.

Time for some fireworks!

The alternative was to soak down the nut and threads with Zep or Liquid Wrench and let it penetrate for a while. This sped things up considerably.

Torch time!

The axle and driveshaft are out of the way. Notice the shock mounts hanging from the shocks.

If you are experiencing excessive body flexing on rough roads, it may not be the suspension nor the body mounts. The latter can't do much good if there is no body to mount up to.
