Kenny J.'s Excellent Big M Adventure
Author: Kenny J. (Show all albums)

I took a drive up to one of the places where Forward Look cars go to die and donate their parts for the others still on the road. Here are some pictures from my May, 2009 visit.

Another view of the soon-to-be demo-ed Mercury. People can't have it both ways.........if a four door is not cool enough for you to buy and restore, don't complain if it becomes a derby car.

A rare Buick "hardtop" wagon.

Spiders, spiders, everywhere.

The "mixed model" area beyond "Finland."

Reminds me of the red Duster I once had.

Another '59 Buick.

The tail end of the '59 Buick.

This Edsel's push button shifter must have gone bad, hence the floor shifter seen below.

A close up view of the Edsel's push buttons.

Looks like somebody was going to install a fuctional hood scoop.

Another view of the wasted hood.

I plundered this wagon for its hard to find V-8 ratio manual tranny, some trim, its day/night mirror and column shifter. The transmission appeared almost new inside and the shifter felt tight and crisp.
