Check this car out. Original 3 speed torqueflite car! Looks like a decent project and the price is right, though it needs a ton of work.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/285685353876

Selling my 1956 imperial that has been stored inside most of its life the car does need total restoration the engine runs doesn’t leak no smoke everything inside still works does have some small dents on the roof and front nose and a broken windshield from barn falling that it was stored inside of the frame is solid and clean floor pans are solid has a little rust in truck and under the hood the car is very solid for its age do have video of it running have any questions feel free to ask.

The fact that that 56 Imperial has a cast iron A-466 Torqueflite makes sense to me. All 56 Imperials after VIN 6700 got them (apparently)

What a fine projects car...although it needs everything.

Purchase of the car 10
Chrome 15
Interior 10
Rotisserie bodywork 10
Paint 15
Parts 20

Total at least 80k
Plus 1000 hours of your own time

I am just thinking loud...it could cost three times more to make it outstanding.

Dave: Thanks for that info.
Interesting that the firewall and inner fenders are a green color, not black.
Not every car needs to be outstanding. If the body is really as decent as it looks, I would just buff it and call it good.

Purchase & shipping (in US): 5K
Used Windows: 1K
Interior: 3K
Engine: 4K
Transmission: ??
Labor: Free
Tires: 1K

Total: 14K + gobs of labor.

That is so true Nathan. I just threw in numbers that would wake up dreamers without your skills and determination...
