Location: Under the X in Texas | Dave, This is the 2nd alternator to orig PS adapter that Manns Resto has made for me. I do not have the plans for it. They said it was relatively simple in concept. Just needed a good machinist. Heathkit, Motor Trend TV offers a free one week subscription either for your television or for your computer. EZ sign up. I do not have the plans for it. They said it was relatively simple in concept. Just needed a good machinist. . Wayne: I talked to Barney at Manns today and got some info that will be helpful. He indicated that there is no CNC program for the adapter plate and the machinist that they used has moved on. That said, Barney walked me through the adapter plate and the "coupler" design (in general). So thanks for the lead. As suspected the alternator is an Isuzu/Hitachi for "NPR" diesels that need a close-coupled vacuum pump. Like that below. I see that your car sold (Good news?). Congrats. https://www.mecum.com/lots/1104977/1956-dodge-custom-royal-lancer-co... Location: Under the X in Texas | Manns Resto did (does!) outstanding work. The crew and the ownership family (the Manns) are fine talented people. This is professional restoration. I was very proud of the car they built. You spoke with Bernie who, I would venture, is a "blue collar engineer" in multiple fields suitable to this business and real quality guy. Glad you got the basics of the simplicity of this upgrade. Yes, for me the sale was a good thing and someone should find the car both award ready and a joy ready to drive. Thanks. | ||
