Could someone please decode these for me? I’m pretty sure this was originally a fairly low optioned car, but trying to confirm that. The image quality is pretty poor once I reduced the size - I’ve got better images but not sure they fit the requirements for a post. Thank you in advance for any information you can give.

We will be able to help you but those images are too too small. The requirement is <250K so you can (please) try again, you are currently about 12 times too small.

Jeff: Here are improved versions of the images of your 57 Coronet's IBM card and Cowl Date Tag. I am sure that others will be along shortly to do the interpretations.

Real quick: BDY 2146 = 57 Coronet 2dr Lancer hardtop, TRM = 112 = 112 = Vinyl and Silver Strata Fabric – Green and 292 = Powerflite (2 spd) Automatic. I think the engine should be a 325 poly with 2 bbl carb but I could be wrong.

Appreciate your help - you’ve confirmed the few pieces I was already pretty sure about - yes, 325 ci, 2 bbl poly with a Powerflite transmission. There’s a map light delete plate in the dash and I’m curious if it was a radio delete car and possibly came with rubber flooring in place of carpet - I’m not sure if the IBM card lists that level of detail, or if it was part of ‘option groups’, etc. (or non-option, as might be the case). Just trying to return the car to as close to stock configuration as I can. Again, thanks in advance for any help.

I’m curious if all 1957 Dodges had reverse lights - I’ve never seen one without.

Map lights were an option so if your car doesn't have one, it wasn't a "Delete", it just never had one.

I do not see any punches in column 38 or numbers printed in the boxes below the 2146 Body code so I can conclude that the car didn't leave the factory with a radio of any kind.

Coronets were the base level so they would come with rubber "carpet" attached to the metal floor (glue??). Looped pile carpet would be an option, Order code 364 (but I don't know how that flows to either the IBM card or the Cowl Data tag).

Similarly, Back Up (BU) lights were optional on a Coronet (and probably Royal), Order Code 375.

There are no punches on the build card on those places.
There are no factory-installed Back-up Lights (code 375) on your car as well.

A couple words about Rear Axle Ratio – it has code 66C (actually 663; the “3” changed to “C” – no idea why they did it).
Look at the picture:
(In the lower oval has written “66 AXLE RATIO”)
