I have a 1960 Dodge Dart Pioneer project that I may be selling soon. I purchased the car in March of 2016 and I have been working on it in my free time which is getting less and less these days. I have done a good bit of work to it including installing new brake lines, 4-wheel disc brake kit, rubber fuel lines (the car used to have a fuel injection system on it so I ran full EFI rubber hoses with AN fittings), the 318 poly engine is rebuilt with Pertronix electronic ignition, A903 manual transmission is rebuilt, I replaced the radiator, I replaced the rear subframe, I replaced the entire trunk floor, replaced all the floor boards, put a bluetooth amplifier in the radio so you can connect your phone and play music, installed a brand new gas tank, and replaced the wheels and tires. The problem is there is still a lot of body work to do and I do not have the time, the money, or (to be honest) the know-how to do most of whats left.  That's not to say that it cannot be done and thats not to say that the car is a basket case - I have just exhausted my resources and I think someone which body work experience could carry this car over the finish line and have a great car. I am posting this now to see if there is any interest in it. I would be willing to almost give the car away as long as it made it to a good home and it was finished. I saved it from getting crushed, I did what I knew to do, and I think I've gone as far as I can with this car. I'm thinking $5000 but I'd be willing to negotiate. The disc brake kit, the rebuilt engine, the rebuilt transmission, the sheet metal work, the glass and the car itself is worth that. The car is 99% complete, I don't recall it missing any trim pieces. It would also need the interior redone. I would be taking a considerable loss on it but I knew at some point I would be upsidde down on it, I just didn't know by how much. Please, anyone that has any interest or insight or knows anyone that may be interested, please reply to this thread or send me a private message. I can text any pictures you need of it and I'd be happy to talk over any questions you may have.

Thanks

Is the engine a 62 or newer or did you use an adapter to fit the 904? Also modified driveshaft and does it have a parking brake? Just curious how you did it.

Its a ‘61 engine out of a Plymouth. I bought the bellhousing and transmission from a friend in Ohio. I don’t know what you meaning about an adapter, it’s a manual transmission, everything bolted up just fine

The driveshaft I bought from a guy in Georgia. It bolted right up too. No modification to the driveshaft. I separated the parking brake drum from the yoke so now there is just a flange that the driveshaft bolts up to. I did this because the drum was out of round, it seemed flattened and I suspected it was causing some of the vibration I felt it the car. I alleviated some but not all of the vibration.

I was confused because 904 is the designation for the newer small version of the torqueflite. The bolt pattern on the 318 was changed in 62 so the older autos and manual bell housings will not bolt up to the later engines without an adapter.

I have 99-100% of the parts. I cannot think think of anything that's missing. I have the hood, the rear glass w/ original rubber seal, another trunk lid I will send with it and the trim parts for the interior. Right now it has a sedan front seat in it that does not fold but I have two folding seating that I will send with it as well. Come to think of it, it is missing the rear seat top and bottom. They were so corroded that they could not be reused. My zip is 39325. If your are really interested please give me a call or text and I can answer any questions that you have and I can email or text pictures. I'll DM you my number.

I forgot to mention I also just put a brand new exhaust system on it. Don’t remember the brand of mufflers but they are quiet and dual exhaust. The tips turndown just in front of the rear axle.
