| Hey, folks. Can anyone tell me who sells the correct Fuel Sending Unit for a 60 Plymouth Savoy? Guessing it is the smaller tank. |

Location: northern germany | One unit to fit all, the big an the small tank (according to Vans)? I don't think so, but I do not know. The listed Darts had the small tank as standard equipment. My guess is, lots of people are running out of fuel before they actually do (if they reproduced the sender for the small tank to fit all). Sure they could be bend to fit, but that is not that easy to adjust, maybe with an endoscope camera. |

Location: christchurch New Zealand | orig OEM is the way to go, but way more expensive when you find one, but at least they read correct, a non original replacement one in my 57 Desoto read full at just under 3/4 and ran out at 1/2 , since replaced with new gen part and reads perfect. Pretty sure there are 3 types, most common is small and large tank, and I think there is a third that was Canadian / export . all will fit- how they read if not compatible to tank size not sure , maybe not to far out ??
Good luck Geoff |

Thanks for clearing this up! I was about to pull and compare the sending units of my 20/23 gallon gas tanks. So Vans is wrong, as I guessed. The OE gauges can be repaired and rarely break, that is one of the great things about the FL-hobby and these great cars, almost everything can be repaired. |

Location: Ramona, CA | I bought one from Vans for my '60 Chrysler Town & Country as the car didn't come with a gas tank and the tank I bought didn't have one. Plus the Vans one is stainless steel so shouldn't get rusty from the E15 we have here. I haven't installed it yet and haven't gotten around to check the resistance values. I did find an NOS one online recently but it's pretty expensive. |
