1957 Desoto Firedome Convertible

In etch primer after plastic media blasting. Began doing bodywork in 2006 and the project stalled. I drove this car from 1996 until I pulled it into the garage to finally do what really needed to be done and bring her back to her former glory. Interior and trim were removed and placed to the side. She needs a new home and new caretaker. There is a thread on this car in "Member's rides" section of the Forums which has quite a bit about her history and how she was a mild custom as far back as I could find. As she sits now there are only 7 of this model left and she needs a full rebuild. Comes with a full floor and trunk from Big M and a 2Dr hardtop 57 Firedome parts car.

Asking $35k

Location: Austin, TX		Just to add to this ad. I do have the clear blue Texas title in my name and will assist where i can to help with transport to the next owner. I would really like to find someone on the board to sell this to, and hopefully I don't have to go beyond the FL community, but she needs a new home.

needing full restoration..good grief man!!!! it's not an adventurer!! does it have the "desotomatic" clock?

Location: DFW, TX		Well a 1957 Desoto convertible is one of VERY few cars that you can realistically "fully restore" and still come out dollars ahead.

Personally I think the price is pretty close here, but if you disagree, make the owner what you think is a better offer and let's see what happens!

Location: Under the X in Texas		A seller has to start his pricing somewhere. I don't think the ask on this car is at all out of reason. And I saw the car before it started restoration. Have we forgotten "You can always come down on price, but you can never go back up".
Its really easy to criticize price when you've never seen a car in person. But when selling something, you never start out low either. You start high thinking someone somewhere might possibly be interested at that price.
The idea of MAKE an OFFER is always on the table unless seller has stated something like "Firm". And that wording is quite rare.
