Extreme Veteran Posts: 341 Location: Wisconsin | If anyone is looking to buy 1955-1956 DeSoto parts, we will be attending the convention and can deliver small to medium-sized items free. If there is enough demand for large items (sheet metal, rear quarter trim, engine block, transmission, etc.) to warrant taking the truck, we may be able to deliver those free as well. We have lots of used parts ranging from trim to sheet metal to engine parts to mechanical items. Comment below or (preferably) PM me with specific needs and we can look for stuff prior to the convention. Non-attendees can also contact me, but obviously parts will likely require shipping or local pick up (Wisconsin). See you there!

Veteran Posts: 292 Location: Colorful Colorado skier on the license plate | WOW! Great show, enjoyed everything, the locals went over the top to make sure we had a good visit. I loved it, even when the temperature exceeded 100F. good swap, took home more parts. The Cosmosphere museum was a perfect venue for the fiftieth anniversary of the moon landing. Thank you, Tim and everyone. Edited by RICKYMOPAR 2019-07-22 7:31 AM

Expert Posts: 2003 Location: Branson, MO | Next year's event will be in Milwaukee, WI. More details forthcoming. I concur with RICKYMOPAR about this year's event. Tim did a great job and deserves credit. I hosted last year's event in Branson and I know first hand how much work is involved. But it's darn well worth it when it's a success. I'm sure the Frank family who is hosting the event next year will do a bang up job too. These guys are DeSoto through and through.

Expert Posts: 2003 Location: Branson, MO | A bit of an update for next year's convention. The actual location is Brookfield, WI which is a suburb of Milwaukee and the dates are July 29 - Aug. 1. The host hotel is the Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Hotel. More details to follow or you can contact David Frank (Convention Chair) @ 262-745-8161 / fireflite56@gmail.com for advanced specifics.

Extreme Veteran Posts: 341 Location: Wisconsin | Thanks for posting the information Fred. My family and I are the hosts for the 2020 convention and have some great things planned, plus some niceties like a grass/shaded show field and plenty of parking at the hotel. I am also anticipating a very strong turnout being in the midwest. One slight correction (my fault since Fred pulled information from my brochure) is that the end date is technically August 2 (Sunday). I'll probably do a new post in the near-future specific to the new convention, so stay tuned. David

Expert Posts: 2519 Location: central Illinois | The convention was a success! Thanks to Tim for putting together a memorable experience! The Cosmosphere... WOW! Definitely worth the travel and I wish we'd had 2 days to go through it. We had some travel/heat hangovers and didn't make it to the college presentation but it sounds like it was very informative and entertaining. I took pictures of almost every car there and would post the Forward Look cars here if I could.
