Project. Needs full restoration. 1 of 191 produced. Probably less than 30 survivors known to exist!! Black car, black top, with Buckskin leather - Gorgeous. VIN tag, data plate and engine stampings are all correct to the car and unaltered. Fresh out of 30 year storage. I have all the 1/4 panel side trim and medallions. (Holes for side trim had been "smoothed over" years ago, but are visible from backside of 1/4 panel). The 392 Hemi is "frozen" at this time. The top mechanism is complete and in good shape. Floors and rockers will need replacement. A few extra parts included. Clear title. Probably one of the very rarest of ALL Forward Look cars EVER produced!!!

Nice. I would fix the engine, driveline and brakes and drive the wheels off it just the way it is...

40k is a lot for a project but it is a convert D. Seems complete. That frozen block is scary, got to have that original engine working.

i think the whole bottom is gone?

Not sure if ted is doing the "take a pic when she is wet" trick :0

Did '58 lack the letters "C H R Y S L E R" across the hood, or are
they just missing here ?

" I have all the 1/4 panel side trim and medallions. (holes for side trim had been "smoothed over" years ago, but are visible from backside of 1/4 panel) "

I presume that that included the letters too.

I get LC4 ** 1638. Which makes some sense according to the Mopar Parts Catalogue info. (see below)

During the housing market bonanza they were paying 45k for cars like this one, but complete dissembled rust buckets with the engine in the trunk. Everybody look like know how to flip cars and make 100k profit in the process. I said at the time, that they were too expensive and I was called crazy by experts gurus. These cars were expected to hit 300K fully restored the assured me the same experts....

I never saw any of the "experts" presenting they miracle restoration profit projects...What I see more and more, is these cars for-sale.

It will be interesting to see what they sell for, if they do sell. The $$$$ difference against a hop in and drive compared to a work in progress rebuild. No amounts of grief will need to be cheap... G

You mean like this one?
Bought in TX in '92 and drove it home for 9K.
Original engine, new brakes, factory A/C
one of 15 or so known painted that color when built.

all over the place in think, but the lowest was around 125 needing work 57, but up to 200 and a little over for a concourse.

57's are more available than 58,59's also...

These two coming up at Mecum are really going to show the market for these.

Hard tops are all over also 40-50-75-90...
