Elite Veteran Posts: 1118 Location: STL, MO | I took my 58 Plymouth Suburban to Bowling Green this year to the Hot Rod Reunion, while there a guy leaves his business card under my wiper wanting to know if I want to sell it. Didn't think much of it. A few weeks later I called him to see what he is thinking, we agreed on a price for the car as a roller. I yank the 392/518 out of it and he comes to pick it up and while in my garage looking around decides he wants my 28 Ply Q, my 65 D100 and whats the price on my 65 Coronet sedan. Told him I'd think on the Coro and he took the 3 cars in 2 trips. Bought a really nice 71 340RR, but now I don't have a FL car. Months later I was looking at this thread and called the owner and talked to him for a long while and he told me his best price, my phone starts beeping and its the guy who bought the 3 cars wanting to know about the 65 I tell him the same number the 300 guy said, but I keep the motor. He agrees money gets wired and 2 days later Im towing this this thing on an open trailer across hwy70. If my Cummins was on fire like Christine it wouldn't have drawn more attention. The car is other than the paint touch ups, original. There are is old falling apart fiberglass work on the pass side rocker and some bondo on the d/side fender around the headlights but for now that's all Im seeing. It doesn't want to idle smoothly in gear and the vacuum operated TPS? makes it want to surge against the brakes. I changed out the plugs this morning and they were Atlas's. Put some MSD black 8.5's where the crispy packards were and new filters and she is starting to shape up. The electroluminescent works sporadically. I do see some upgrades in the future but nothing major, This is a lifelong top MoPar for me and I am very happy with owning it.

Veteran Posts: 256 Location: Chicago | Congrats. Looks like a great example. Interestingly, this car was at the very first meet of the Chrysler 300 Club International in 1970: http://chrysler300club.com/ClubHistory/ClubHistoryPartOne.html In the 1990s I met the guy who drove it there. He had owned some other nice FLs including another G, but was out of them by then. He lived in Wisconsin and used to sell auto literature at swap meets. Haven't seen him since. There's talk of a 50th anniversary club meet in Michigan in a couple years, You may want to consider a road trip!
