| On my 1957 Dodge D 500, there seems to be excess play in the steering. Any suggestions on causes? |

Location: NorCal | Manual or power steering? If power, there is a rubber insulator between the box and the steering shaft, they're known to deteriorate and cause excessive slop. New ones are available from Gary Goers. |

Location: Chestertown, NY ( near Lake George) | Shouldn't he check where the play is first? Gear box, steering linkage? |
