Randy, I have to admit that I know very little about Desoto's various models and just get confused when trying to research the differences. Would it be possible for you to show me a example illustration or picture of what the side trim would look like installed on a car?

Sorry, Thank you.

This car has '58 DeSoto side trim on it. It also has a '58 DeSoto hood ornament. Someone may have swapped those parts over to the '57, or they put a '57 front end on a '58.

I can't really tell in the photo, but does this car have its front turn signal lenses? I'm looking for a good pair. Thanks.

OldRay, this car started as a '58 Firesweep with the factory two-tone.

It would have looked just like the car in this link: http://www.anunico.com/ad/collectible_classic_cars/desoto_firesweep...

At some point, a 1957 Firesweep nose was installed. Probably because of a crash repair. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

Haven't heard anything from the original poster anyways.

I was looking to try and put some kind of trim on my "56 wagon but seems very hard to find anything.

The Desoto trim with paint that goes around the rear wheel looks good.

Thanks, again

I'm squinting at your avatar picture, so bear with me. It looks to be a '56 Dodge 2dr wagon?

Have you considered possibly using the trim from a '55 or '56 Desoto? They made wagons, but there were no 2dr Desoto wagons in those years.

Might be a nice option for you. Good luck.

I sent OP email and PM My PM was responded to as "Dennis I responded to you on EBAY"

What the heck??????? Is this forum to be used as advertising your EBAY adds?????? OR Help other Forward look members ??????

I don't mind paying a FAIR Price for parts even parts that are rare and hard to find & have to be restored before use BUT I AM HIGHLY OFFENDED THAT MY INTEREST IN A PART IS RESULTING IN A NEW LISTING ON EBAY!!!!

Hey Chrysler kid STICK THE BUMPER WHERE THE SUN DON'T SHINE! I don't care if it's free at this point!
