Location: North Carolina | Hello guys, it's been a while since I posted as my car was in body shop limbo. Well, while it was in the body shop last week a fire broke out. I have yet to see it & take pictures, but I do know the windows were blackened and the hood paint was bubbling up. Maybe a lot more damage, so I might be looking for another 59 Sport Fury depending on what happens with their insurance. I will keep you posted and if you could keep me posted on any restored 59 SFs for non-astronomical prices, I would appreciate it.
Thanks, Mark

Location: Minor Hill, TN | You might want to talk to a lawyer about this 1 also.o My dad talked to some one who lost his 68 camaro convertible in a fire . The insurance he had was not going to pay him what it was worth to him . My dad advised the car's owner to talk to a lawyer about this matter.
If I had that same problem with my last '61 I would of mentioned the word attorney to my parents home owners insurance agent.

Have you now viewed the 59 Fury to see the extent of the damage.. ??
Is it repairable with the payout you will receive, as may be the cheaper option rather than replace the Car..

Location: North Carolina | It could be restored with some fairly substantial metal/body work, all the wiring, detailing the engine & bay, tires and interior. So yeah, it could be restored but it will take quite a bit. |
