My neutral safety switch doesn't reset once the engine stops running and prevents another start attempt, It will reset after a minute or so. It varies. I t always eventually resets
but I am stuck waiting for it at times.

Are new switches available? If so a part number would be appreciated.

For those not familiar, it is a switch on the intake manifold that looks for a vacuum signal. Once a vacuum signal is detected the switch goes from a closed position to an open position and prevents the starter from
engaging. I like it and think its a good design, so would prefer not to bypass it. On the contrary it is simple to bypass if needed.

I believe it should be 1770093. There are also several on Ebay, some in the original Mopar style and the later replacement style.

Have you tried removing it and cleaning it? It sounds like it may have carbon buildup that is causing the switch to be slow to reset.
