Elite Veteran Posts: 889 Location: Peoples Republic of Oregon | My oem parts manual do not specifically detail the carb, but the 1960 pn is 1821170. Interesting that this number also is used for the 2x4 carbs. My oem 'Carburetor and Repair Kit' listing shows two carbs for the 1960 Polara, (8 cyl/all transmissions): R1971A and R2052A. Hope this helps

Expert Posts: 1506 Location: Colo Spgs | Hola Duane The 1960 MoPar used AFB Carter Carburetor's for The 383 or 361 sized engine may be --- AFB-2927S, AFB-2950S or AFB-2968S. If The Tags are gone these units will have a 1 7/16th inch Primary Throttle Bore and a 1 9/16 inch Secondary Throttle Bore. The AFB-2903S has the same size of Primary Bore and a 1 11/16 inch Secondary Bore. *** This is from a 1960 Factory Service Manual *** ***** Measure the holes of your Intake Manifold to make sure of what size that you need. ***** ------------- Your re-placement question The 1960 - 1967 Carter Carbs all have the same Throttle Linkage Design and Throttle Bore Size. The 1968 - 1971 Carter Carbs have The same Throttle Bore Size as your 1960 Unit and a different Throttle Linkage Design. The 1962 - 1967 Carbs may have a PVC Port ( which is a good thing ). A like Engine Size of a Senior GM Product uses the same carburetor with a different Throttle Linkage Unit. Rodger & Gabby COS

Expert 5K+ Posts: 8948 Location: WHEELING,WV.>>>HOME OF WWVA | per my 60 dodge factory parts catalog dated 4/20/60 shows (polara , holley R1971A--automatic trans or dart) , (matador , suburban , R2052A-- all trans) , (2903s--cross ram man.) , (police matador , Hi-P-2950s--auto trans) (police matador and dart , Hi-P-2968s --auto trans) . the 1821170 is listed in my catalog as dual air cleaners . the (PC2--2927s is listed for a chrysler saratoga 383) . why it's listed with dodge is your guess -------------------------later

Rodger & Gabby COS header says 1960 dodge 383 and holleys were regular production OE carburetors for those. Edited by 1960fury 2015-02-18 4:36 PM
