Expert 5K+ Posts: 8445 Location: Perth Australia | 20K for a car that needs everything To rich for me This car would/should be a factory ram car? I have to say (and this is just me) that I am not a fan of the body style and a car like this would be a doner for the driveline to make a plymouth sono car, only thing is, to raid a genuine rammy to make a clone doesnt make real financial sense, but then, whats money (note: the sarcasm in the last little bit )

Expert Posts: 1740 Location: Alaska | ttotired, I kind of agree but it would have to be a 60 Plymouth. I once had the opportunity (in 1969) to buy a 61 Ply. sono. in good running condition but just couldn't make myself do it even though they are such special cars. Two reasons, it was an automatic (always had poor experience with them and don't like them in a performance car) and IMHO, the 61 Plymouth is the homeliest of all the Forward Looks. Hope I don't hurt anyones feelings.

Right? If not you gotta be out of your mind. Using a restorable 300F as a donor for a Plymouth ram CLONE ??? What a waiste. Its like using original matching number Hemi Challenger as a donor car for Dodge Coronet. This 300F seems very restorable. There are lot of reproduction parts available. 20K is pretty optimistic asking prize thou.

This looks like one of those sad stories. Restorer actually destroys his project. Maybe most of those hard to find parts taken off are lost, stolen or damaged more than when the car was complete. It may need a complete donor car to finish restoration. If this car was intact with all parts it would sell right away for 20K or 30, even 40K Restored 300G convs will sell 150 - 250K in auctions so there is a cap for professional restorers.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 8445 Location: Perth Australia | As I said, I dont care for the body style, so if it was a cheap car, I would use it for a donor, but as its worth a fortune done up, I couldnt do it I also would not kill a sono plymouth to make a 300 f clone I wouldnt think twice though if the 300 was a basket case with a good engine
