It's hard to get paperwork for a car from Alberta. Many folks who live there have told me not to even bother trying to export a car from there. Not sure how true that is. I don't believe they get ownerships/titles for old cars in Alberta.
We do have titles for our vehicles in Alberta. We also have electricity and other modern conveniences.
I talked to the seller last year, he`s cleaning up his farm and is selling most everything he`s got. Seams like a decent fellow.

Only repeating what folks from Alberta told me on another forum- that it's difficult to get an old car from Alberta registered in another province. I was told you usually only get a bill of sale. So, what you are saying is all antique cars in Alberta have titles?

Would this be true in the case of these two convertibles (the the green car also does not have a title)? If so it would seem to me that it would be impossible for these cars to pass such an inspection and thus get a title. I know here in PEI (and in Ontario where I lived for 38 years) the local "DMV" would laugh at me if all I had was a bill of sale from another province. |

out IN Alberta, before trying to take it elsewhere ? An additional step, but probably simplifies
the process overall.

Howabout: Bills of Sale, or monetary receipts, for the transfer of ownership, on the sale of these parts?

Location: Montreal, Canada | I bought my own car in Alberta and "imported" it here in my province, with nothing else than the former registration and a homemade sales contract.
What they did here at my local DMV is take the Alberta paper, call the DMV in Alberta to check on the file regarding this car, and then transfer it to my name. The car was registered to my name in Québec in 10 minutes, and papers and plates issued for it here. The only thing is that an out of province inspection was required, so the car was said to be "in storage - in need of inspection" in the file.
Once the inspection is done, the DMV is notified that the inspection is done, and you can take the car on the road.
In the case of a project car with no paperwork at all, and no way to prove the ownership, it would be a bit more complicated for sure, but no more complicated than buying such a project with no paperwork in my own province.

that apparently wasn't a problem for the crook i bought my 61 fury from. he managed to ship a car without title overseas from canada. even signed "no title" in the papers. |

Location: Lordstown, Ohio | Well I talked with the owner for over a hour on Sunday. I was real close to buying them, then I found out. All conv trim is missing from both cars. He told me he don't remember seeing any when he clean cars out. The white one has no paper work for it. or side trim or conv top mechanism. missing engine and trans also and was flipped on its side The green one has paper work but if I remember correctly not in his name. Missing conv trim and top frame is broken on both sides. Has wrong engine and trans also
He is a very knowledgeable guy and very nice to talk with. He pretty much talked me out of buying them for reasons I never thought about. He did say too, that from research he did there was over 220+ of these made.
If it was feasible to transport and ship/export to OH I would of acquired them |

First time I saw one was the movie Shadow Of The Hawk starring Jan Michael Vincent from Airwolf. It was a black & white 4 door sedan and would be cool to make a clone of that one just like the Christine's. |

Did you even look at the photos?
They area mixture of Plymouth in the rear Dodge up front and built that way on purpose by the factory for the export market. They are badged and titled as a Dodge just because they look different than the cars you are familiar with that were sold in the market you are from does not mean that the are not indeed real Dodges.

Location: Montreal, Canada | Last I heard, the cars had not sold. The guy still wanted to sell them as a package for 13,5k$. That was a about feb last year. I doubt they made over 100 of those.

| It took a while but the two Mayfair convertibles look like they will be coming to Michigan ,not far from where they started life at Plymouth Lynch road assembly ,Couldn't have Done it without all the Help from the seller ,Very nice Guy . |

I am glad that they have found a good home, and certainly hope that they can be restored and remain Mayfairs, as there are the rarest of the rare.

| Still Working on the Mayfairs ,I acquired enough parts to complete both cars. The turquoise one that was originally yellow is painted and will be starting on reassembling it soon ,Thr white and gold one I’ve not started on yet. |
