For you folks with more money than brains (don't be offended -- I have neither money nor brains when it comes to cars), I know a lady who knows a lady who knows a lady. Woman has to sell the house, and in the garage is what was told to me to be an old Chevy. We've all heard the story about the widow finally deciding to sell her husbands "old Chevy" which turned out to be a 1953 Corvette or something like that. I asked for more details on the car "just in case" it turned out to be something collectible, valuable, or that tripped my trigger.

As it is, and I just looked at it today, it's a 1967 Dodge Coronet 500 convertible. Not my favorite car, but certainly restorable. However, it needs EVERYTHING, and has been sitting in the garage for many years, covered with "junk" like mattresses and assorted boxes. Body is surprisingly good, but it's auto trans, small V-8 (273 or 318), and 2-barrel carb. It has a blank tag pop-riveted onto the space where the VIN should be, but the owner says she has a title. Car is in western Pennsylvania. If anyone is interested, get back to me and I'll give you contact details. There was no mention of price, so I don't know what she expects to get from the car. However, I'd guess I could make it presentable but not a show-winner for around $15K invested, and from what I see online a low #2 car or a high 3 is worth between $13K and $19K.
