Can someone give me the rundown on what glass fits which cars? I'm working with a '58 Plymouth Savoy two door hardtop. It's my understanding that the windshield and other glass is the same for '57, '58, '59, Plymouth two door hardtops. I've also been given the impression that the windshield is the same with four door hard tops and convertibles. Can anyone ad to that or correct any of that? Any other makes that share the same glass? (i.e. DeSoto, Dodge, Chrysler)

Basically I want to familiarize myself with all the cars that could be glass donors for mine.

Thanks!

NAGS # W451 I don't have the sheet in front of me but 1957 dodge should be the same for 2 door coupes. Most cars went to later bubble style after 1957 except 1958 Plymouth coupe. I don't think 4 door hard tops are the same. Marc.

[FWDLK] THANKS 57 Windshield part number FOUND

•From: Suzanne Peck Huber

Thanks to everyone that helped us with the part number for our 1957 Plymouth Hardtop Windshield (451). We have found one and it's on order. Should be here this Friday!

Our mis-ordered (453) windshield will probably find it's way to e-Bay if we confirm that is actually what we have. It is flat glass and does not have the "bubble" like our 57 convertible and our 59 Sports Fury. We ordered the 453 from a local glass shop, so we don't know where it originally came from. The 453 is the exact contour for the 57 hardtop but is 25-5/8 high at the center. It's still a mystery to us.

There was a third windshield used in 1957-59 : NAGS W451
1957-59 Plymouth hardtops
1957 Dodge hardtops
1957 DeSoto hardtops
1957 Chrysler hardtops

For 1957-59 windshields from Chrysler Corporation parts books, 1957-59, showing both the Chrysler Corp. part numbers and the NAGS -

Imperial : (26"x78") : W465 : 1957-1958
(clear) 1651431
(Solex) 1690871

Sedans / wagons : (24"x74") : W454 : 1957-59 (all)
(clear) 1681706
(Solex) 1775045

Hardtops : (24"x74") : W451 : 1957 (all); 1958 (Plymouth)
(clear) 1681710
(Solex) 1775046

Convertibles : (28"x76") : W453 : 1957-1959 (all)
Hardtops : 1958 (Dodge,DeSoto,Chrysler); 1959 (all)
(clear) 1695690
(Solex) 1759485

The last windshield, W453, is the bubble top unit while the W451 is the flat windshield.

The sedan/wagon windshield glass will only fit 1957-59 sedans and wagons while the other two are interchangeable.
