This is excellent info. Interesting to see. I have a 1958 Chrysler Windsor 4-door Sedan. Is there any information ou there that breaks the production numbers down further by options? I just mailed my info into Chrysler Historical to get my build sheet and decoder.

As far as I know, they didn't break down production numbers any further (unfortunately). Jeffery Godshall, a Chrysler manager, was able to get some information on optional equipment for the 1957 - 1959 Dodges for a Collectible Automobile article, but I don't know how he did it.

There are some very knowledgible folks who use the forums here - some Chrysler folks even. Kevin McCabe, Bill Watson, and others may have more information. Bill Watson sent me the numbers at the top of the page.

Thanks. Just curious. I am preparing to get an appraisal and was gathering ammo.

best of luck Todd. I don't know how they even make appraisals for ForwardLook products! The few I remember have been pretty wild. You might be able to pick up a copy of Collectible Automobile featuring Jeffrey Godshall's article. He broke some of the major options (air conditioning, power windows, power seats, etc.) into percentages ordered. It is a shot in the dark to say that those percentages would translate into the higher-end Chrysler division, but it's probably the closest place to start.

Those production numbers at the top are all available in Old Cars Publications "Standard Catalog of American Cars 1946-1975", probably my most used reference.

I've heard rumors of these Windsor 'verts, talk about rare, if they do indeed exist!

They were certainly built, but if I had to guess, they were probably owned by Chrysler and either given to employees and/or destroyed relatively soon. I think someone in Sweden re-created one.
