Didn't you know? These save you a bunch in shippingcosts when the seller can just fold them up and mail them in a large envelope ...

LOLOL @ "just came off the roll" and "in a large envelope". ;O
I've seen these pans on Ebay for a couple of years (haven't clicked the link, am assuming they might be the same $70 each pans always running on Epay). I never paid much attention, just saw them in a list and kept going, because I don't need floor pans in my '57 Belvedere. But since, in the back of my mind, there's always a plan for another Forward Look...which will probably be a fixer-upper.... I always thought "oh good, you can always find new floor pans here cheap".
Maybe not.

I know for a fact that the Classic Fabrications ones are indeed tin foil !
I ordered them and my bodyman said he could not do very much with them.

Are those from 'classicparts4u' or something like that on Ebay? Because I bought a couple of rear quarters from them and they are made of a very thin gauge, and are pretty low quality.

Those don't look like Bob McGee's. His stuff was sturdy. No aftermarket metal is perfect.

Thanks for the heads up.

Why would anyone waste their time making these out of thin metal except to
rip people off ?

I've bought both - Bob McGee aka R/Car has the best imo... the classicparts4u aka Classic Fabrications, are crap. You get what you pay for, Bobs are over twice the price.

Yes, I fell for some of those "classic parts 4U" rockers, five years ago. They suck, and were made from galvanized sheetmetal. Might as well have been tin gutter material! Although, I think I saw a post on the board somewhere, where someone bought one of the trunk floors from that guy, and had modest success with it. Caveat Emptor! --Z
