Expert Posts: 1288 | Lads -- Well, since the engine's been painted with Olds engine blue, you might as well complete the old man's look by putting some dorky wire wheels on it. Of course, that bogus tuck-and-roll upholstery would make it a good low-rider, especially with that re-chromed Fury roundel and glove box door. Being a heater delete(?) car as well would give lots of room for a boom box. However, that rusty master cylinder might indicate another problem or two. Weird car. I never liked convertibles and in form of a 60 Plymouth, I would call it even ugly, especially with that off-road stance. The 61 looks much better as a convertible. Expert Posts: 1288 | Sid -- I don't agree with you on this one. I've always liked drop tops because they have always been chick bait. I almost went the vert route when I traded that first '60 Fury for the first '65 Sport Fury, especially because the sales brochure featured a Medium Red Metallic SF with matching interior. I went with the 2-dr H/T, same color scheme, because I was into drag racing and that car would just barely into the NHRA C/Stock class (a few pounds lighter and it would have jumped to B/Stock). And I never cared much for Corvette coupes, even the '63 split window (I thought the rear vision was exceptionally bad) as I believe no Corvette guy is a true Vette aficionado unless he has bugs in his teeth. I think this black Fury does have a striking interior and if its interior were done with the correct '60 red/black fabric, it would be fantastic. Joe | ||
