Script from auction: Gorgeous example of the top of the line car for Plymouth in 1959. Extensive frame off restoration with excellent attention to detail.
Car has never seen ice or snow since restoration and has only 16,200 miles through 3 owners. The car has all matching numbers
and is powered by Plymouths 395 Golden Commando engine with 395 lbs of torque and 361 cubic inches mated to Chryslers 3 speed
pushbutton Torqueflight automatic transmission. One of the items earmarking this car is it's Model No./Vin Tag with the designation of
MP2P, the last "P" indicating the Premier Model. The "standard" Sport Fury had the designation MP2H with the "H" indicating the
highline model.
All mechanical systems, steering, brakes, transmission, suspension have been checked and adjusted or restored to specifications
within the last two years along with new exhaust system components.
Options Include:
Power steering, Power brakes, Automatic headlight dimmer (very rare option for cars of the late fifties), foot operated windshield
washer/wiper, padded dash, new recast polycrylic steering wheel, period AM radio with rear speaker.
This car runs and drives GREAT, it's hard to believe that it is 62 years old. With it's gleaming white exterior and red and grey interior
this car is a head turner whether at shows or cruising down the road.

Sold for $36,000.  Only six bids.  I would have thought it would attract more attention.  But there's a lucky new owner out there somewhere!  Wish it had been me.
