Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 10177 Location: Lower Mainland BC | . Engine is a transplant but trans is factory manual. Needs some work but it could be fun. The seller says: "56 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer 2-Dr hardtop runs and drives fine, family owned since new, vehicle was stored from ‘86 to ‘01 and then I received it and I drive it to car shows and on cruise night. It needs restored, floors, trunk need replaced, lower rear quarters need replaced by the doors, interior needs reupholstered, rear leaf springs need replaced, clutch works but is weak, brakes need rebuilt but work. Motor is a ‘57 New Yorker 392 Hemi - Not the original motor, Not the original paint. This is a wonderful car that needs to be restored and driven, I hate to sell it but I do not have the time to restore it and don’t want it to just sit and rust away. It is garaged in a heated shop where it’s been since 01 when I got it. This was my fathers car since new. I want this car to go to a good home where it will be restored, or restomodded and will be driven and showed.Vehicle will be sold as is with no warranty, or refund offered." https://www.ebay.com/itm/1956-Dodge-Custom-Royal-Lancer/233818965390... Hasn't met the reserve yet. Could be a fun car. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1956-Dodge-Custom-Royal-Lancer/233818965390...

Expert Posts: 3967 Location: DFW, TX | My absolute biggest pet peeve is '50s Hemi engines painted orange. It just pisses me off every single time. I know it's irrational. But I'd rather see that engine covered in gunk with silver paint nearly flaked completely off than a messy rattle can orange job.

At least they had the valve covers painted like D500 hemi 315 and 325s (red with black wire covers). Auction ended with " Current bid: US $4,751.00 Reserve price not met" I'm sure that it will be back.

Sure enough, it's baaaccckkk! https://www.ebay.com/itm/234076654363?hash=item36800e4b1b:g:7oYAAOSw... Based on the "Super 230 Powered" glove box badge, it was originally a 315 poly, 4 bbl, dual exhaust "Super Powered Super Red Ram" car.
