Extreme Veteran Posts: 309 Location: Western Colorado | Does anyone know if there was an actual Owners MANUAL for the 1958 Chrysler New Yorker. I have found a couple of sales brochures and a Owners GUIDE but I've never seen an actual Owners MANUAL. If you have one, can you please post some pictures?? Thanks Bob

I would guess that Chrysler assumed that Chrysler and Imperial owners back in the day would not be working on their own cars and the work "manual" was too low class. Hence "Guide" (with limited information) Definitely with the Imperials. If you really want/need the Factory Service Manual go here and download, open, save and use: http://www.mymopar.com/index.php?pid=109

Extreme Veteran Posts: 309 Location: Western Colorado | Thanks Dave. I have the service manual which has been a valuable source of information over the years. The Chrysler Owners GUIDE, you show a picture of, doesn't look anything like the other models Owners Manuals or the Imperial Owners Guide. If anyone has any other info or pictures, I would appreciate your comment/posts. Bob

Extreme Veteran Posts: 309 Location: Western Colorado | Dave, That is a fold out type Owners Guide. I don't think Chrysler would have given a fold out type brochure to the buyer of a New Yorker as an Owners Manual??? I have found a Canadian Owners Manual, so I would think there should be a USA version? Thanks Bob

Extreme Veteran Posts: 309 Location: Western Colorado | Good eye! I didn't see the staples. It still doesn't look like a "normal" owners manual but pictures can be deceiving. I may just buy it. If anyone has any other info, please chime in! Thanks Bob

Extreme Veteran Posts: 309 Location: Western Colorado | You are correct, Dave! I ordered and received it yesterday. It's in good condition but not really very informative. It's also generic, covering the entire Chrysler model line. At least I now have a Owners Guide!!! Bob

Extreme Veteran Posts: 309 Location: Western Colorado | I had seen this, but it is Canadian. It's a much nicer looking book than what I now have, but not correct for my car. At least I now have a correct "owners guide". Thanks Bob

I’ll keep eye out for you if I should run across one somewhere
