Location: tracy, ca | i have a pretty basic '59 savoy sedan 4-door. 230 i-6, 3 spd manual. i would like to know where i can find bolt-on replacement torsion bars that r thicker than what i currently have(want h/d suspension). i am trying to keep overall cost down, so junkyard parts r pref. trying to make car handle better. it already has '89 dodge diplomat brake system. plan on installing front sway-bar (see other post) at some point. thanx 4 any help---jeremy |

Location: Central Ohio | Just get torsion bars from a V8 car, they are thicker. |

Location: Snohomish, WA. | You would get better handling with anti-sway bar installation (front AND rear) than by just changing the torsion bars out for a thicker set.
Easier to find, too.
