I think I might have a recipe for the white.

But in the meantime, Ford's Wimbeldon white is a very close match.

Here is "formula" for Sapphire White in IMRON paints. This is from Bruce Faulkener:

IMRON Mixing formula for colors as indicated. 3 Quart Mix size:
Sapphire White
556 U Yellow Oxide 103.5
531 U LS Black 656
555 U White 3496.0

Here is a 56 Dodge with "265" paint code (I don't know anything about the green codes)

265 Sapphire White Jade Green Metallic Sea Foam Green

Your trim tag photo didn't come thru

076 should have been 176 colours except reversed but those colours are both La Femme colours so something is weird.

Jim: I have been trying to contact you for years now (Oct. 2021) regarding 56 D500 stuff:

http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=76521&...

As for your tag photo(s), they can be bigger (but less than 250 kB).

.jpegs from Apple devices will load (if less than 250 kB) but not appear automatically. Need to be .jpg to do that.

That said, I can see from your photo (once I enlarged it- see below) that your car is an LA-built 56 Dodge (based on the tag style, including the remnants of where some masking tape was attached before painting)

Looks like either a Jan 20, 1956 or April 20, 1956 build date (I can't quite read the first four numbers in the bottom left)

D63-2 = 56 Dodge Royal (D63-2 = Custom Royal)

Body Type = 826 = V8, Royal, 2 dr hardtop ("Lancer")

REFERENCE: http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=69565&...

Trim = 536 = Royal Lancer "Flying Ducks", we think in red like these:

Looks like I had the tag about right:

polaraguy4 - 2011-12-23 2:33 PM

Here are the punch cards I just received from Chrysler Historical. Also, the data plate from the 57. 56 data plate is a little hard to read and I am having trouble removing it. I would post pictures but both are in various states of dis assembly. Both have manual steering manual brakes, the 56 has a respray but looks like original colors, green and white. The 57 has rear defrost option and looks to be original paint, red and white. The 56 has more miles but a very rust free body. Both have the original engines. I will be happy to confirm any data on the cars. Both are in need of total restoration. By the way I need the little die cast pieces above the headlights that connect the eyebrow trim for the 57 if anyone has them. The 56 is a Royal Lancer with spinner hubcaps and cast headlight surrounds and the 57 is a Custom Royal Lancer with spinner hubcaps.

Data plate from the 56;

SCHED 0420
NO 5112
Model D632
BT 826
PT 076
TR 536

I have chasing Jim G. (Polaraguy4) for a couple of years now to get some history about his D500 and a better image of his IBM card.

What I have is terrible (Jim - we can do better)

Hey everybody, sorry, been out of town, just reading the latest now. First of all thank you for all your help! I did some more research and based on old threads the 076 Paint code appears to be the Dodge La Femme only in reverse. But…no way this is a La Femme. I had a paint guy tell me this car is actually original paint! Another nice feature is it hasn’t been messed with much so when I work on it I am removing a bunch of original hardware. It lived in the Berkeley or San Francisco most of its life. It has a Cal Berkeley parking sticker on it from 1962. The 140k mileage on the odometer looks to be correct. Almost completely rust free.

I’ll try to get a better picture of the build card. Happy to share any information, it is an original California black plate car too. It does have 1 engine rebuild.

Jim: Check your inbox here. I am sending you my email address. If you still have the pdf of your cars IBM card from Chrysler Historical, send me the pdf (to my @shaw.ca email) and I will extract
as good a quality .jpg that will be possible.

If that works, I can create an annotated card like this:

Agree that 076 is the designation for the reverse of the 176 two tone La Femme colours (in 1956). The 076 shows up on the IBM card (bigger version shown below) so that was the original intent. The fact that the car is actually green
*might* possibly explain the difference between the April 20/56 scheduled build date and the May 21/56 shipping date. (???)

PS: Because this is an LA built car two things: 1. Interpretation is more difficult than the Detroit built cars and 2. "TRUCK" would make sense for a Bay Area delivery. I will look for the "Route" code.

Your IBM card:
