did Plymouth offer a bullet shaped clock that is attached to center top of dash?
If so what was the exterior finish?

Location: So. Cal | Yes, it was an option. I think it was the same part as the DeSoto clock, but I'm not sure. |

Location: Buena Park, CA | Yes there was a clock for a '56 Plymouth. Very similar to the dash clock from a Desoto, but the face is a little different. I think they are flat black with a chrome ring and there is only one part number listed.

Location: So. Cal | Thanks for the brochure picture Dave! I am pretty sure the clock body was painted the same color as the dash, but it was a flat color, like the dash. The NOS one you show looks like it is for a DeSoto though because of the large chrome ring around it. But the face does look like it is for a Plymouth because it has red hands. The DeSoto faces I have seen had gold colored hands on a white background in '56 and silver hands on a black background in '55. For the Plymouth, did they mount these in the center of the dash like on the DeSoto, or did they mount them closer to the driver? |
