| hello to all mopar lovers, my name is
Antonio pujante, I am and I live in Spain I own a plymouth bervedere 1959 convertible engine 318 and I have a problem with the carburetor
Rebuilt Stromberg WW 2 barrel Carburetor 15-40 1959 Plymouth V-8- and already bought several rebuilt and they do not work well and seen in several mopar forums that these carburetors already in their time gave problems, my question is, there are other types of carburetors that can be attached to my 318 engine, if anyone can help me I will be grateful

Location: Connecticut | Antonio - The comment about Stromberg carbs not working well is pure garbage. I have one on my 58 Plymouth 318. It works great and has for a number of years. The secret is to do a full rebuild, which means to disassemble, clean, rebuild and set floats, idle, etc., to factory specs. All the specs are in the Factory Shop Manual. Too many people start monkeying with these without knowing what they are doing. That's when there are problems. What seems to be the problem with yours and the ones you have ? Ron |
