Veteran Posts: 189 Location: Northern Illinois | hi, would anybody know what the standard equipment radio would be for a 55 custom royal, according to the owners manual, there were three options, model 614 (5 tube), model 833 (7 tube), and model 900 (8 tube). my IBM card does not have a punch for the radio so I assume the standard radio was installed. mine was missing and id like to put the correct one back in. thanks. If you get desperate, I think I still have a 12V 842HR that would fill the hole. (you need the proper dash panel - they're on eBay most days). It came with the wrong knobs. Not sure if I have an extra set of the proper 55/56 Dodge knobs.

Veteran Posts: 141 Location: Simi Valley, CA | Hello, I also have a 55 Dodge "Town and County" 6volt radio for sale. It worked when I took it out about 8 years ago, when I switched to 12V. I'd let it go for $400 if you are interested. Ernie ernestbaily@att.net

Veteran Posts: 189 Location: Northern Illinois | thanks guys for your replies. I was hoping to find one a little cheaper, since it doesn't have to work. its just for show, don't know the value of these radios but It may look like I will have to shell out some coin for one.

Make me a decent (enough) offer on my 12V 842HR and it is yours It might even fit in a USPS large flat rate box. Edited by 56D500boy 2019-04-17 9:58 PM

Turns out that if I remove the large plug in tube with the metal shield, the radio fits in a side-load USPS medium box. I didn't what it was, just that to decrease the height so the radio fits in a USPS Medium Side-load flat rate box, I had to remove it. It would be nicely packed and placed beside the radio, in the box.
