Veteran Posts: 154 Location: Locked in my Canadian garage.... | I take it the color code is top/main car/spear? Or..? Is there a way to find out what the X and the B are? I assume X is blue because the interior is blue but it would sure be nice to know!! Thanks

Location: The Mile High City | This applies to US cars, not sure about Canadian:
The first letter is the roof color. The second letter is the lower color. The third letter is the fins and deck color.
XBX should translate to Eggshell white roof, fins and deck and Wedgewood blue lower.
It is unusual. I would think it would be a 4XBX, the saddle two tone. I can't think of another two tone style that would allow for XBX.

Location: The Mile High City | Maybe the Regents go with the Plymouth pain schemes as shown on the main page?

Expert Posts: 1737 Location: Hay Lakes, Alberta, Canada | From the Canadian "1958 Exterior Colours Domestic Models Chrysler Corporation of Canada, Limited" paint chips: Code X- Dover White Code B- Wedgewood Blue So pretty much the same as what Lancer Mike says. Dover White is a cream colour, so probably the same as Eggshell.

Veteran Posts: 154 Location: Locked in my Canadian garage.... | I assume whoever painted the car before I got it painted it backwards then? The roof and spear should be white and the car blue? I actually kinda like the color combo the guy did. I notice he also two toned the dash- blue and white. I assume stock it was satin black? Thanks guys

Location: The Mile High City | Here's a link to the 1958 Plymouth order sheets: http://www.forwardlook.net/19571958Plymouth/58PlymouthOrderSheets.htm Page 2 is the order form and in the middle of the page is the paint code description. That may do a better job for the Regents than the USA '58 Dodge description. Edited by Lancer Mike 2018-06-27 9:24 PM
