Extreme Veteran Posts: 496 | There's a car you don't see too often! 60 Polara hardtop 9 passenger wagon. $850 is a good price. Even the roof rack and 9 passenger stuff would bring that. PolaraPaul needs a pew pieces of trim for his 60. Here's an old picture of mine. I promise to post updated shots soon! Aaron

Expert Posts: 2788 Location: USA - KY | Chad, do you think the seller would give you a "two for"?...maybe $1500-$2000 for both the wagon and the Plymouth seen in the photo? That wagon could be soooo sweet for someone who is a talented restorer (unlike myself ). It would be great to see it on the road again, if possible.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 7808 Location: Williams California | Nice find, Chad!! I cannot ever recall seeing the hardtop wagons in this area, although I've had a few Matador pillared wagons from '60 here. What is the production figure on those? ---John

Expert Posts: 1491 Location: Lordstown, Ohio | So is the Dodge for sale or you buying it. How ratty is it. When I lived in Loganville there was a yard not far from my house on HWY20 that had a LOTS of cars in the 40's 50's and 60's At that time the finned cars had no interest so looking for them was not important then. Wasn't til I moved back to OH that my dad got me into them. I have always loved wagons and convertibles. If you pass on it let me know, unless the fella above wants it Wayne

Expert Posts: 2905 Location: little rock, AR | All wagons are worth saving even if its just for parts. You never know what comes up later in life to save even more wagons. Great find!!!

Location: Parts Unknown | This car is pretty much the Burrito Grande of FL wagons. I would vote to save it, even if at a high price. Too few were made, fewer survive in any condition. Last time I checked, they weren't making any more.

Pete[/QUOTE I do not know about that, my 60 plymouth wagon has those same handles and its a 6 passenger car. As for restoring it, if its not wasted real bad underneath I would say do it. That car would look great back that same color.

Elite Veteran Posts: 988 Location: Kansas City, Kansas | I have never seen such a response on such a run down car. Clearly there is a lot of love for this car. It deserves to be saved. If you do not save it, please let others here know how to contact the seller. This car is so rare, it makes the forwardlook era letter cars seem as common as a 2010 Camry. Someday, it could look like this: (I dug thru my large photo archive, but these are so rare, that I had no '60 4drHT wagon photos!) Member Posts: 10 Location: Kennewick WA | Have to say while I love my 57 2 door dodge sedan I could totally see having one of these. I'm normally not a wagon guy but wow, sweet find and definitely not a parts car if there's anything left of the undercarriage.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 7207 Location: Victoria, BC, on Vancouver Island, Canada | The 1960 Polara wagons were never offered from with the lower rear stainless steel "washboard" trim even though the brochure shows it. It was an installation issue on the wagons. Aaron Kahlenberg is restoring his and adding this trim set to it. Awesome car.

Extreme Veteran Posts: 496 | It's definitely worth saving. Here is a picture of mine. I have 2 solid weeks of work ahead of me -- the plan is to get it running sooner than later. I had to take almost a year off due to some employment issues. I have done a few things. The fuel tank is out getting sealed and the roof rack and grab handles are permamnently installed.
